When I worked at an office-retail supply store I used to take sd cards, flash drives, and any expensive small electronics that people returned. I would also "forget" to scan items for random customers if they were nice to me or looked cute. Scammers occasionally came in to buy $800 worth of prepaid cards with stolen credit cards and I would pretend to not know what they were doing. Luckily I got away with it without getting caught, but it's an unnecessary risk to take.
