I've shoplifted trading cards and CDs from w@lmart in the past, and I have the itch to go on another run. However, being a couple years older I have more safety concerns when making plans, and I wanted to consult with some professionals before doing anything.

I had what I thought was a good system, and I never felt like it was particularly sloppy, but does anyone on here have any especially good tactics for getting the most amount of packs out at a single time?

Also, what about these kinds of stores in general? Is it easier to lift from stores in rich neighborhoods or poor neighborhoods? Urban, suburban, or rural? Luckily I am in a place where all combinations are relatively easy to come across, and I'm not opposed to driving an extra 40 minutes if it means a heavier haul.

Go to the nice areas, less security measures and more items are out on the shelves without security locks. At least this is what I've found to be the case..

I have lifted cards for the past 5 years and grew a $20k collection out of it. AMA lol.

I used go at close when they stocking shelves. Grab the case and wheel out

Crazy part is cases for the big box stores. The actual cards are in the same place. The Crosby rookie was in the same pack and box in 2 cases

Idk what kind of cards you're going for, but I will warn you that MTG booster boxes (with 10 packs, a thing of lands, and booklet inside) are source tagged at most big box stores. As are the individual booster packs inside the small cardboard boxes. I used to just open the booster boxes before concealing them and take out the source tag - or dump the plastic booster packs into my bag. Same with the individual booster packs inside of cardboard, since the source tag is between the cardboard pack and the plastic booster pack.

I have done MTG packs before (like 2-3 at a time), but I think I'm going to try focusing on YGO (nostalgia factor). I did just buy a promo box with a fair amount of good-value cards, and after looking at the packaging it doesn't look tagged. There are no places where the lining is raised on either side of the box, but it is much larger than just the cards themselves. Would it be worth figuring out a place to open the sealed box in the store, or just concealing the box and assume I'm right about the tags?

Is it best to find a way to take cards out of packaging before leaving? Are packs usually tagged, or is it just the more valuable items? Any game easier/more valuable to go for?

I was thinking of getting into the new Transformers TCG by lifting some boxes and packs simply putting them in a walmart bag and doing a walkout. Does anyone happen to know if those are tagged? After reading this thread I'm suspecting they might because they're made by Wizards of the Coast? But owned and distributed by Hasbro so I dunno
