maybe not california rolls, since its "Americanized" and not like traditional sushi. I see that when people think they are sophisticated by eating at cafes. Usually those cater to specific demographics. Sushi, really depends if yours is being made by a real japanese chef who makes sushi based on the culture rather than ones that are catered to the rest. Those traditionals are actually the more expensive, and i would consider that to be more sophisticated.
