Not in the states. It is easier to run and I never lift from a store that has a chase policy. Stateside, the use of any weapon or force immediately escalates the charges to burglary which is an automatic felony. You will usually also get charged with battery or assault which is also a felony charge.

Yes. I personally do. Most people will tell you it's a bad idea and it is. But I refuse to be caught. On big lifts I'm never in my home state and I always have a license plate flipper on my car. No matter how big or small the lift. If I'm confronted or chased, I will put my hand on the handle that is clipped to my pocket so they know I'm armed. They aren't gonna try to apprehend someone with a knife. I know it would escalate to a burglary charge but they would have to figure out who I am first. If I'm out of my normal state/city with a fake tag... it won't happen. I don't have Facebook and I'm not worried about ending up on the news either. I alter my look enough to where that wouldn't be an issue anyway. Your idea isn't always a hard no. It just requires a lot of extra planning. You have to decide how much it's worth to you. For me it's not just about getting apprehended. It's a point of pride for me to never allow any wannabe G.I. Joe LP to add me as a notch on their belt. So I'm always strapped. Knife or gun. The weapon itself depends on the state.

No. Most places I lift from have stationed security and I’m female and on foot. So I know they’ll assume they can take me anyways.

I do better blending in, disrupting their 5 steps, going Karen, and complaining to corporate.

For me, the act doesn’t end when you leave. It continues all the way until you are in the safety of your home, or another private locked building. If caught, it continues until the issue is resolved. An innocent would complain to corporate for poor treatment. A guilty man would let it go and accept the write up. What guilty person brings further attention to the act and asks it to be examined?

I layer on deniability at each stage and a knife or gun kills that (depending on location). So it’s a no go for me.

I say if you’re male and can be intimidating/with a crew or partner, do it. Security and LP will not fight a gang of men. Regardless don’t depend on your weapon as a last resort. That require commitment to use it, which will definitely make it all a felony. Have a fake license plate for your getaway vehicle. Plan well. Your weapon is an accessory not a safety net.

It's called reality and it's well documented that women are regarded as less threatening/ less of a challenge/weaker than men physically, whether it's true in that particular case or not. So if I'm going up against mostly mostly male, white LP and security and cops, I'm going to use the biases to my advantage as best as possible. That means not entering a scenario where their biases are confirmed and their confidence in apprehending me (and keeping their job) is high.

I hope you realize LP, cops and other individuals that revel in positions of power and authority don't give a shit about political correctness and are in general a very crass, discriminatory and aggressive sort of people right. Know thy enemy.

Or you're rearranging words and even adding some because you're offended that I wouldn't carry a weapon and escalate my criminal charges because I have better methods available to me.

Or I'm just a better lifter with more sense and can adapt to my environment. I'm sorry if I know how to beat profiling better than you do because you're unwilling to keep your hair a natural color. lmao

Is it also a statistic that 41% of you alphabet people can't read?

The bias/perception of the sexes is the reality. Not the actual physical strength of the sexes.

Again

"regarded as"

Same to you. You've been here 4 days and you think you can educate illegalists and anarchists on how to navigate a police state because you decide to mutilate yourself. Sit down, freshman and learn from the actual criminals first.
