Is somebody here willing to share? As you probably agree there are plenty of interesting forms of therapy, but unfortunately only psychoanalysis (along with one other option) is covered by my insurance because of its "scientific proof and reputation". So it is my focus for now.
Currently I am bothered by a fear of becoming a entirely new version of myself afterwards. Sure, I want to evolve, but how likely is it that the therapist is trying to subliminal discredit me, wittingly or not, when it's clear to them my political world-view is amoral, insane, crazy in their point of view? Do they question everything? Did you experienced any stress comparable to therapy, if so what is it?
Overall I imagine it could be a kinda hard, but worthy time to spend. First because of the common attribution to it and due to the fact that everything is in some way connected to politics so I bring it up (producing a dilemma).
When you have advice, hints, links, whatever I appreciate that. But please tell if its "just" generic or it helped yourself or a friend personally. Thank you!
