The book I really love is A Course In Miracles, but I needed to have its principles spelled out to me in an accessible and entertaining format or I would not have recognised it for what it is. So I recommend you read Disappearance first.
ACIM (or the Course as it's commonly referred to) sounds Christian, but that's superficial. Its content has far more in content with Buddhist schools of thought. Yet it is more than just 'Buddhism in Christian language'.
I have been studying the Course with varying levels of intensity for many years and expect to continue. I enjoy answering questions about it, partly for the joy of sharing it with others, and partly because the answers to questions often serve to deepen my own understanding.
