There was some article here on planting trees and reducing climate change, right? The estimate was that 1.2 trillion trees could be planted on available land, but it would take 3 trillion to halt climate change.

1.2 trillion / 66 million = roughly 18,000. Okay, so what if we got 100 times as many volunteers? 1.2 trillion trees in half a year. (I'm kidding, you couldn't get that many seeds and seedlings disseminated that quickly and a lot of the available space for trees would take many hours of travel to reach.)
