Also always buy used. There's no way to frame a new bike as 'green' with all the fossil fuels and mining involved to make it.

but the yuppies who buy these things could afford that for sure. And they will actually use it because the folding mechanism works so well, while other brands are cumbersome. Idk what used electric bromptons cost, but I imagine it's something close to the new ebikes reviewed in the link.

And if you really want to be green, use a skateboard. They're much more portable anyway. Dragging a bike around with you everywhere is a pain.

I have a Flexdex Grenade 23 Mini that I used everyday before I moved to a rural area without paved roads.
