I know that mango and guava in South@merica

Guava attracts them from miles away. Really pungent fruit

Th guava tree always bugged me bc it is grey and looks like it's always dry. The guavas without care grew very little like little lemons or huge Cherries (ok maybe big cherries are an overstatement).
But I remember by night the scent of Night-blooming jasmine and guava flowers

I planted a guava because the smell make carnists vomit. No joke

uh weird, we've had a guava tree for like a decade but never seen a single bat around. i guess bats dont really live here.

Yeah why some people have so strong reaction to certain fruit. Guava, papaya, ripe bananas, jackfruit...
The smell of iron of blood and flesh for them is ok ¯_(ツ)_/¯

it's not all bats, just fruit bats

oh, that makes sense yea.

Try to search for the endemic species in your area. They have some preference for fruit trees
