In contrast Starsector, a Game i really enjoy, draws heavily from the Culture Series of books, yet the most liberated political system is a place where they can vote for their King, the rest is dictatorial and in the case of Tri-Tachyon a Technocracy.
Stellaris has Fanatic Egalitarian as a possible ethic, that when chosen "Must use Democratic authority". The flavor text reads like this:
A society that does not see to the needs and rights of all of its members is not a society - it is a crime.
A cynical paint job on the same level as Aaron Sorkin who turned radical leftist into democrats in The Trial of the Chicago 7
For a Genre that is supposed to imagine a future Sci-Fi Games are Captialist Realism not even daring to imagine something new.
]]>1.Lots of walking still is a jump and run with puzzle elements that foremost uses its oppressive architecture in conveying what its about. It is also delightfully short!
2.Its second half is a wild trip any more would be spoilers but it is one of those games that kept it most interesting stuff for later with an intense ending.
CAUTION: Light sensitive and epilepitc people might wanna stay away from it. The second half has some intense lighting going on.
]]>Also one general server for all games with text channels ane voice channels for each individual game
]]>The Story isn't Groundbreaking but the VA deliver and it handles the Themes suicide Death and personhood also Immortality very well. The Art directon is superb and reading all the splitters and infos was really interesting. Combat aside from guns is great too. All in all an okay to good game Its an FarCry style game in the end.
What makes me mad is the fucking Revisionism of its dickriders of Fans. NO THE RELEASE HAD MORE PROBLEMS THAN JUST BUGS YOU ASSHOLES. Its just the Problem that got into the news. That and that it was unplayable for the old Consoles.
Take the corporate Cock out of your mouths !
It was a SHITSHOW! Life Paths? After Act 1 less and less Dialogue revolves around them a side mission for corpo is the height of those. Driving was like driving on a frozen sea. Cars to buy were shown as quests on the Map and Leveling was like pulling teeth. My 2.0 Character was lvl 30 after hours My first playthrough was 60h and lvl35.
I didnt buy the game on release so i got in after a week but i got in before the seizure inducing Braindances were fixed.
My first Character got deleted because i had to much crafting material another one of the early bugs that people tend to downplay.
Replaying it after i was told iTs FiXeD nOw! before Edgerunner and after Edgerunner made me realize how boring the game is. Higher dificulties made Enemies bullet sponges Sneaking is badly designed Hacking sorry Decking is cool but making people shoot themselves gets old after a while. If you played through the story two times you start to skip conversations.
There is so little to actually do that isn't an shootout which also makes the city feel empty. The more i play it the less i like it.
Lastly the Game is pro Cop which is bad.
TLDR:
okay game with little replayability. Fanbase that makes me violently angry with their delusions.
]]>edit: Oh yeah, and I found a nice LGBTQ+ friendly corp. It's mostly leftists, but the recruiter said there are quite a few anarchists around as well. Haven't officially joined them yet, but it looks like I'm going to.
]]>it feels good to piss off someone telling me what to do.
]]>Would it be possible going onto public WiFi networks and downloading it?
]]>Features:
I administrate a small gaming group. We're like 5 dudes who get in a discord call every almost every night, and maybe 10 people who hop in occasionally to chat but don't play many games with us. We usually get 3 at most into the same games, and most of the time it's just 2 of us playing together at the same game.
The core group is a pretty tight-knit family, but we've always wanted more people to play games with. We've always talked about having 2 or 3 other groups like ours come together on the same game servers. I think it would be cool but I have no idea how to get it all together.
Any thoughts?
