Latex from Dandelions or other plants

Submitted by polpotisevil2 in Foraging

Has anyone tried this before? I have read somewhere that if you take dandelion stems and crush them the sap that comes from them contains latex, and if you collect it you can create a rubber-like product. I want to try and learn more about it but have no access to dandelions where I've been living

Do you have figs or mulberries? They ooze latex when cut.

I don't have any experience with making rubber but I make mastic chewing gum from mastic trees.

I remember this, in which the creator used goldenrod, but I think it involved a few odd solvents.
