How good is freeze dried food? Do you use other ways to preserve food?

Can it hold for weeks-long hiking trips?

I've never tried it. I dehydrate food tho.

Freeze dried lasts longer than any other method, preppers spend a fortune stocking up on freeze dried meal packs and they store them for years (up to 30 years).

I tried some freeze-dried blueberries over the weekend. They were good af. Tasted just like normal blueberries. Have to remember not to overeat them though since they suck up water in your body.
