I didn't know there were others. I just looked some up and will probably check them out. Henry Fool was a bit of an obsession for me when i first saw it- annoyed my family by watching it over and over and talking about it all the time. I was inspired by the idea of poetry that could have an effect like that. I'll have to watch it again and find some of those others.

It's truly dark comedy at it's finest -- so absurd yet poignant -- with this sort of aching melancholy of feeling like you are seeing deep deep inside the VERY SOUL OF HUMANITY lol

There was something much more real about it than the majority of movies.

Just looked up the girl from monday, which he describes as "girls in great clothes just beating the shit out of cops". I have a feeling I am going to like his other movies.

Omg. It was a trilogy? I never knew. This is exciting. Seeing the release date, I can see how I never watched any others, since a very turbulent part of my life was to follow, where I didn't watch any media.

After a little more searching: Amatuer I did see. And liked, but didn't know it was the same directer.

The first film of his I ever saw was The Unbelievable Truth and it cracked my teenage brain and heart right open. I was so so moved by it. Trust also fucked me up in the best way. I definitely recommend both of them. In fact I think I'm due for a rewatch too, sighhhh (happy sigh)

When I get some money to spare, I think I' m going to collect them all. Looks like most of them are charging to stream and I expect I'll want hard copies to rewatch.

In the meantime, the films on his site are relatively inexpensive to stream it seems. Opened the link for Simple Men and it's 3$ on Vimeo.
