One of the best sci-fi I saw in the last decade or so.

It's based upon a '—All You Zombies—'  from Robert A. Heinlein the same writer of Starship Troopers and The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress (this last one is on my reading list, someone told me that have something of anarchism on it)

I felt like putting on some random 2010s USAmerican sci-fi flick to fall asleep to, so had my expectations set pretty low, like Total Recall remake level, but damn this one was good. I really liked the whole gender / hermaphrodite plot line. In her video on JK Rowling, Contrapoints makes a point about how trans film characters are often the evil baddies, like Psycho and Silence of the Lambs. It was just very refreshing to see something different than that trope. And it just follows Chekov's gun all the way. Totally makes sense that it's same author as Starship Troopers. I loved that utilitarian terrorist character towards the ending;; very unabomber, except with time travel.
