Wonderful suggestions, thank you! I'm not familiar with Elaine Brown, but have always loved the work of the Panthers, so I will definitely be reading more about her. And thank you for reminding me about the Mujeres Libres! I had a great book on them, and we have been talking about women's roles in combat and warfare, and I mentioned the YPJ, but overlooked Mujeres Libres and Zapatistas, so I will go back and mention them as well. I'm a big fan of Lucy Parson, and have been looking for some good writings of hers to share with the class.
