This was awful all around. I don't even know what to say. Words aren't enough, really.

The problem with pointing out crime inside porn industry is that conservatives have hijacked the conversation. If you talk about dangers of porn, you get lumped into a same category with some moralizing, anti-sex Christians. This is why some feminists won't talk about it.

In my opinion, porn in it's current form, does more harm than good. The amount of abuse included in it is absolutely horrible. And when some of the most popular porn is basically simulated incest and pedophilia (actresses are made to look like 14-years olds), it's obvious how toxic it is. Of course there is more unproblematic porn, but it's a small minority. Most porn just enforces sexism and glorifies abuse of women. And then there is the treatment of transwomen in porn which is absolutely horrible in every possible way. Most porn is made for sexist men.

And we should also remember that porn industry is massive and functions according to capitalist logic. It's about profit and actros and actresses in porn are paid often almost nothing. Drug use is a massive problem. It's hard to make ethical porn.
