If they can afford private care, their risk is much lower. They could close down an entire private hospital and have all its faculty dedicated to treating them.

I don't know, but I think the 10% death rate for older folks on average is for those who are getting medical care. This is why I thought hospital staff arent bothering treating people over 65 who are in the hospital for covid-19 in Italy & Spain & New York. After a certain point, having more staff attend to you just doesnt change the medical reality. But you have a point, the elite will do whatever they can to insulate themselves-- i wonder how effective this will be, though. I think there's a good chance a lot of rich people will die this year and next year

I think there are different digrees of rich. The ones with real power can afford to isolate themselves fully.

The virus survives for weeks on metal surfaces, up to a day suspended in mid air. It is invisible, can be passed asymptomatically, and is expected to infect 70+% of people.
The ultrawealthy are the highest risk group: old, frequent travelers, rely on others to do everything for them, hogh stress competitive professional jobs in the capitalist hierarchy. I think some will survive but they will hardly be immune as a group

The elite is in denial. They will be literally decimated (10-15% death rate for those over 65)
