Thinking about the impact of this in a country which is now mostly 'cashless'; are there any ideas on sabotaging 'point-of-sale' payment devices?

In theory since superglue is not conductive (citation needed), you might be able to insert a glue-coated (disposable) card into one of these machines and remove it, allowing the glue to dry and prevent the store taking card payments. Of course most big stores will have multiple, so to be effective you'd need a team which isn't ideal.

I imagine people have already tried to do things like steal credit card details from POS devices, but I don't know much about that. I live in a very cash-y place where ATM bombing etc is not unusual.

It's an interesting thought though, since stopping just those machines would sabotage a whole store. Though I don't really know anywhere that cashless.
