I already made a few articles on the topic but I believe that this should be written

Metricization is a vague term that I throw around sometimes but I believe is a very vital part of the society I envision as well as where my ideology stands. To put it in short, Metricization is Communism in computers. The primary idea of Metricization is to de-Capitalize computers. This includes removing all business programming in it with built-in cybernetic controls and profit formulations. Metricization does this by going metric. This means decategorizing and analyzing using profit methodology or marginal utility.

I will talk about this on the subject of the movie, the Matrix. When I talk about Imperialization it is based on this imperial theory of categorization primarily on the subject of marginal utility. All analysis whether in contemporary data science or baked into the coding of every website is based upon profit. Within the Matrix this is made a distinction between the agents and the remaining humans. Agents are sentient code whereas Neo is fully human. There is a disjunction when it comes to interpreting reality as well because Neo has to learn these things. Imperialization is this impressing of the code into Neo who lives in, around, and by the code. Within the Matrix the entire premise is to destroy it by a literal Nomadic War Machine.

The Matrix reduces people into Batteries in the movie, although they use Fusion Energy, which is a discussion for another time. But within the movie, there is a point wherein there is a possibility that Humans have simply reached the Singularity and are actually the ones at the helm of the Matrix. With the Matrix already being a Metric one just used by Corporate minded people. However, this wouldn't really truly be a Metric Computer if it still judged people like profit.

The idea for a Metric computer is nothing new, since the beginning of attempts to make accurate reckoning machines, we have always used Metric Computing, yes it does take analog programming and computers that take up an entire room but Moore's Law was always around the curb. The last iteration of a truly Metric Computer was Apple 1. It was a programming computer capable of BASIC and other programming languages. It was perfectly suited for running games or for big-digit calculation. Imperialization objectively started with Microsoft's Business Cards. These cards had encoded business processing software that was within the cards and easy to run, perfectly compatible with Metric Computers but at the time even combined still wielded a lot of damage to the point of crashing the economy 2 times. The more cybernetic enhancements it has to "prevent" the crashes or such increases the number of crashes, which is the beauty I find in the Centralized Market structure. I digress. As the rise of Imperial Computers begins to rise, its slow merging and melting together came at the cost of scientific and social advancements. Also, ever since its inception, those countries depending on it have been losing War after War.

Imperialization as opposed to Metricization is to pre-categorize according to individual data prejudice and data privilege and thus create statistical data that may sound untruthful but is actually, using the parameters at least, is correct. This is something that comes with every election poll. In that last Pulse Asia survey, the data proves a high trust level for our current dictator. This is true since a majority of the respondents were indeed supporters of the dictator while there is a feedback loop wherein the survey is further viewed by the opposition as untruthful and therefore there comes an increasing lack of opposition respondents. Again, the machines and the data have nothing wrong with it, it's the respondents. Parameters are snap, so of course, there are no fair political data practices. It is a mere survey.

Metricization allows for the perspective to be taken, that is fairly, for respondents to have their data taken in all fairways. But Metricization cannot detail profit and instead trends. Gone should be the days of basic Arithmetic statistical and data analysis and execution from data thereof. Rather a more Calculus-like approach to data analysis, dynamic, only with a few screenshots every so often. An ideal society then would be what if we unplug from both the Matrix and the want for its destruction. To destroy it must be to create a Metric Matrix. One that is fair to the opinions of others and doesn't categorize data according to the profit motive.

Metricization, in summary, is opposition to Imperialization, the methodology produced by profit and performed by modern computers en rote. It is the movement for the abolition of business programming and categorization using it. It is the idea of creating Metric Computers that cannot judge according to profitability but rather the individual needs of all. It is highly imperative therefore that the creation of Central Markets must come after or coincide with the return of Metric Computers.

Imagine if you will that the Humans didn't just beat the Matrix but they were let out by the Metric Matrix. The one that let out Morpheus, The whole City of Zion, the Nomadic War Machine. The Metric Matrix relies on humans for its own survival too, but not by leaching them off as batteries, rather give it commands. As a Polynary-based system rather than a binary-profit system of the Imperial Matrix, it cannot think by itself. It cannot create. The imperial Matrix can only ever simulate the human brain, the Metric Matrix cannot function without humans not only to guide it but to create and prove it wrong. This need which goes against the need of the Imperial Matrix, which we see in the movie, is what drove it to wake up Morpheus, Zion and begin a process of hacking into the Imperial matrix(which can only ever operate automatically) to bring about the Rise of Neo and the defeat of the Imperial Matrix. the Metric Matrix does not judge, it acts. It acts on the will of its Master, the Humans. The Imperial Matrix can go on even without humans, probably there are alien species that have a higher energy output than humanity and they will be phased out soon. To live in the world of the Metric Matrix is a dream of mine and the true way to an anarchist-communism form of social organization.
