It's pretty incredible what's going on over there. The mass psychology, the crowd dynamics, the tactics of various ideologues...

But yeah, since yesterday we've been dealing with tankies. Out are the conspiracy folks, the "we need coherent demands" organizers, in are the class reductionists. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Lots of marxist entryism in there too of course.

I think it's a pretty common misconception that leftists (anarchists in particular) want to "tear it all down and start all over again". What we want is to abolish systems such as capitalism, but we can and should keep all of the material means of production and infrastructure so that we can repurpose it.

It doesn't have to be like that.

There's a concept known as "Dual Power". I think I'm right in saying it was first coined by Lenin, and it was used by the Worker Soviets ("soviet" just meaning "union") to establish the Soviet Union as we know it. Might be a bit off on the details there, but it's just background so it shouldn't matter too much.

Dual Power is basically creating a new structure within the existing one, and subverting the establishment.

I think I like the idea of a Social Revolution, so the kind spouted by the likes of Kropotkin, in that the "revolution" would be a decentralised movement that grows from the bottom-up to overthrow the establishment. I want to evoke this feeling in my community, by starting a veg garden and (hopefully) getting people interested in communal food growing, then trying to logically expand on this.

That's an option, it doesn't have to be immediate gunfire and raising of red flags. I like the idea of preparing well in advance, and getting those who want to engage (consent is very important in anarchism) in a position where subverting the State until you can just do away with it and live in an autonomous region is so easily within reach.

Mind, this is influenced by me being a Brit and our situation here, so others might disagree, but I'm just wanting to show you that it doesn't have to be as dramatic as you may be picturing.

O my goodness christ. I am a communist, but this is stupid. There is no such thing as "authoritarian leftists". Do u people, not understand how authority works? Every revolution and socialist state is authoritarian by this logic. For a revolution,u need to take the means of production away from the ruling class. U then need to supress the remaining with a state,as the people demand, until they are no longer burgeoise. Those are things that will happen to the burgeoise with or without their consent. The difference is that from a dictatorship of the burgeoise, the state becomes a dictatorship of the proletariet. Stop creating uneccessary divisions among revolutionaries. Pls read engels and his work "On authority".

China, North Korea,Vietnam,Laos and Cuba are not some evil dictatorship with supernatural secret police, and billions of people in jail. They are socialist countries who are examples of what we should be striving for,and have done incredible things under constant attacks from capitalism, imperialism, propaganda, etc. How can u people claim to finally "awaken" from the propaganda spread by the ruling class, but still believe the propaganda they spread about AES? This is so childish

Socialism is the way to communism. And communism is a true "anti work" society.

Revolution has always led to mere reform and Marxist-LastNameism in practice tends to just become authoritarian states with a bigger welfare net at best.

This one has some potential at least. They just need to ditch the "revolution" bit.

Looks like a nightmare for the mods to deal on.

Right now that sub is mess for the mods to deal on.. I fuck hating proselytism like this entryism bs. Marxists, tankies and whatever this ppl think they are, are actually deep down atheist Christians, spamming their broken promises of a Bread Heaven and virtuous workerist moral.

It's hard to take their project serious when they are more focused on monopolize the discourse and erase anyone that are not them.

Sometimes I feel so tired to even bother enter in arguments...
