China’s a workingclass state – and working people have a big stake in defending it

... revolutionary Marxists argue that it’s important to recognize today’s Chinese workingclass state with its socialized economy as a monumental conquest on behalf of the global working class – despite the dominance of an authoritarian bureaucracy. While neither “socialist” nor “state-capitalist”, China’s socialized system has catapulted China from an impoverished colonial country to the second-largest economy in the world, and enabled tremendous advancement in the material well-being of its population.
