Wouldn't a communist Minecraft be Minetest?

The server is communist, not the game.

Yea, and it's pretty great. You can have all the features of Minecraft survival in Minetest with the right subgame (Carbone-NG, etc).

The community's also way less shit than Minecraft's. Minecraft's community is toxic and proprietarian as hell-- in any mod or texture pack, you'll find shit like "Don't steal! Don't copy! Even if my mod is broken and two-years lacking updates, don't you dare improve upon it!" In Minetest's community, everyone just cares about collaboration and making things better. Everyone tweaks upon them and remixes them casually, since basically every mod and texture pack is libre/open-source. Generally a more pleasurable crowd to be around, IMO.

Minecraft is a toddler who doesn't want to share their toys… Minetest is a mate that doesn't mind passing the pipe.

I suppose so, but minecraft on its own is really what you make of it, and we made it communist in our case.
