i don’t usually care for graphic art, but this is a really phenomenal explainer of the recycling of military visuals/aesthetics within consumerist and increasingly militarizing white civilizan life. it, i think, does a really good job of linking the ordering logics of the state with the way that fascist aesthetics function, which in turn does a great job of both de-exceptionalizing nazi aesthetics and explaining how conditions in the US make it so rife for both state and non-state fascism (eg very recently with militia “patrolling” the southern border, capturing 200 migrants at gunpoint, and saying “we have to go back to hitler days”)
