On the serious tip: what are we prepared to do about this? There are going to be a lot of displaced fellow workers that will need material support when these chains start going belly up. It would be good to have an organized response ready so people don't end up loosing their homes or starving to death.

I think this is too big for community organizations to handle.

With the lack of any kind of well-financed framework, yeah. People are going to have their lives destroyed by this, and with no place that can house and feed people that isn't under intense scrutiny of (if not outright destroyed by) the US government, there aren't really any options for people.

The best we can do is make people aware of why this is happening to them. We're all going to have to fight for our lives against this system. Sometimes the only way out of hell is through it.

That may be true, but community organizations are going to end up bearing the brunt of the fallout from this whether or not it is too big for us to handle. Its worth having plan ready.
