tfw you never had to deal with either abstinence or anti-masturbation shit because your culture is conservative as fuck and punishes women and gender minorities for speaking out against it. we didnt even get the most basic of sex-ed (because who wants to talk about changing bodies and the challenges that come with it, here memorize these dates of some battle from the fucking 15th century) and i would say i went to a decent middle-class school.

i am allowed to overshare here right?

Yeah I mean literally the entire conversation I had around porn/masturbation was, "People who view porn are perverts and will burn in hell" (that was litterally the whole conversation like thode words were uttered and that was thend of it) then i would be held back from sex ed and when I would ask why I was told, "you know what we think". Which is why I read so many books because I sure as hell (heh) wasn't getting help from my parents.

also, and thank god I was straight, my mom unprompted and for no reason would say to me, "if yoy ever become gay I will disown you" like I would be playing video games or listening to music or whatever normal activity and she would get my attention just to tell me that.

probably was told that shit once a week.
