What's wrong with giving the person who made the video the credit for doing this? Is it that painful and hard? Why not do this? It can't be that demanding of a function. lol What do you think? I want to hear what you have to add. I welcome opinions. Update me. I want to know all about this context. lol Based.

It's right in the body:

...in the case of youtubers who are problematic and I don't want to reward them with a click on their video or boost their view count but I still want to watch a video of theirs...

I don't see why that's an explanation. I just think that if a person's putting a video out worth condemning, it's worth getting views. Should somebody have 0 views if they're putting out material various people engage with if they don't like it on some level? That doesn't come across to me as fair. Not fair one bit. Non-fair stuffs. lol Does anybody else have a different opinion? I guess maybe some people do. I'm not sure. Maybe others do. I would like to hear them. I am very interested in listening to such things. I crave them deeply. I must have them. lol Based.

Because you're directly promoting the content, more views led to it being promoted by the algorithm more and to those that may not necessarily share those viewpoints already.
