I've been trying the last few weeks (with moderate success) to run a mile everyday. I've gotten better, but from where I started "better" means my mile time has gone from 10 minutes to 9.5 so, ya know, nothing groundbreaking. I keep telling myself that I'll add more to that soon, but idk if I'll ever get around to it

i used to walk/run 2 miles 5 times a week. i don’t miss it but i consider going back to running. it’s cheap and easy. i think your time is good, i always had trouble with mine (i’d try to do the first mile running only).

Yeah. When I have access to equipment, I do bench press, deadlifts, and squats with a barbell for three days a week. Unfortunately, since I'm home from campus at the moment, I don't have access to a gym and I had to get rid of the bench that I keep here. Since then, I've been trying to progress to one-handed pushups and pistol squats.

I have a really poor self body image and would rather not talk about this. But I walk about 5 miles a day outside of my typical general moving about. I try to do about half an hour of lifting daily, hopefully helping people out with tasks that need extra hands for but that's about once to twice a week. So I end up curling 40 pounds per arm for about 20 minutes every morning, hungover or not, musician too so that's typical 4+mornings a week. In my new living space, essentially a multi generational punk house with 20, 30, 40 and a 60 year old, I garden a lot the hard way with the 60 year old. I need more cardio and need to start biking again. But for a 200 pound 5 foot 10inch person I think I'm doing OK by comparison. I'm just not done yet and have shit I wanna do, so that's my drive.

I bike to work, like 11-12 miles a day...and go to the gym on the way home to do free-weight stuff. And yoga at home. Staying consistent can be difficult depending on my activism levels, meetings and actions do throw off patterns and whatnot.

How long did it take you to work up to being able to bike 11-12 miles?

Honestly...nothing. Just did it. Biked to work and back one day. I was sore the first week...but after that...it was all good.

I do 30 kettle bell swings every day. I am working to get up to 100 per day. I also do a farmers walk with 40lbs in each hand. And for cardio I put a bunch of weights in a wagon, jog/run, and pull it around my yard.

I am going to start doing body weight exercise after all venom stings stop swelling.

a bit, mostly core to keep my posture decent and some leg exercises. used to do a lot more (bench, squats, deadlifts), but age and repeated dislocations are taking their toll

I used to run half-marathons, so I ran 3/4 times per week. They were usually 12 to 15 Kms long. I stopped running so much, so now I just walk after meals.
