I feel like it's mostly 'people like me should exist and be allowed to be okay'

worst response: society, doing everything it does every day to stop this

That leading with some modicum of identity as a tool to make your opinion appear more valid is often proof-positive that what you are about to say can't hold it's own weight under its own merit.

Have had many arguments with people who try to justify their position with their identity as though it is true for all people who also share that identity when their position alone could have been sufficient.

Using identity to pre-emptively remove a basis for some form of critique (like a PoC stating they are/identify as such to prevent claims of racism) is one thing. But saying you are "more" right because of an identity is something else entirely.

Feel free to come at me.

The main one is my unflinching support for putting pineapple on pizza. People freak out over that one, but it’s mostly a joke.

The only issue is that I never get to order a nice pineapple/ham pizza unless I’m with other pineapple lovers, and they’re quite rare.

I'm ok with anarchists banning people that use socially accepted but discriminatory words.

In anarchist circles, that Kronstadt was a strategically necessity for the Soviets and it was foolish for them to have an uprising. Even the Ancoms in Catalonia would have done the same thing as Trotsky. War is war.

Yeah how foolish they were for try to have autonomy, they should have let die themselves by the famine and economic crisis in post of sustain the glorious vanguard. LOL

I guess that is on topic. :D My opinion is also unpopular among Leninists.

STOP RESISTING, PEASANTS

By the time of Kronstadt, the only remaining real 'war' was that against Poland - which was in the process of ending. Other than that, there were peasants revolts, sweeping up the Black Army, and Asian rebellions (tribal and such).

I'm not sure how an anarchist can excuse purging internal forces calling for autonomy with ''war is war" but that sounds like a better argument against wanking off the Catalan syndicalists than in favor of Trotsky repressing Kronstadt and Makhno. I also ask - would you offer the same excuse to repression of mutinies in France during the World War, with Kropotkin's weight behind it?

A lot of this doesn't seem like too-controversial stuff (which makes sense, nobody wants to get into these fights) but I've been called a "closet fash" and banned from LGBT groups during Ace Discourse Struggles.

I don't think I've ever met anyone who actually thinks that queer ace people should be excluded. "Ace exclusion" has always been centered around discussions of cishet ace people - that "ace" doesn't alone qualify as queer.

The issue is that other queer folk, especially the Tumblr 'soft boi' types will often smooth the way in for cishet people bringing themselves in and in the process hurt the most marginalized people actually involved.

I'm not familiar with how it could harm vulnerable people, though I'm open to hearing.

That sounds absolutely disgusting, and those people sound like dipshits looking for ways to validate themselves at the expense of others.

But that doesn't seem to invalidate 'ace doesn't make you queer' as a statement, I don't think.

I heard the point. I said those people sound like dipshits. I don't see how those dipshits make the statement false, or how they can be used to generalize others so easily.

That statement was all I put forward, and your argument has been people that aren't me, so I guess we're in agreement if you don't think the statement is false?

I said I'm ace exclusionist and got compared to a terf, you cited people who aren't me in an argument against it, and I'm still not sure what you were actually trying to say.

Your point has been that queer identities are invalidated by dipshits for ace people - I, as a trans woman, got compared to a TERF for thinking "ace" doesn't qualify as queer alone.

I think its exemplary that people aren't in any interaction or understanding and just in elevating themselves against whatever they see as their "inferior", given we're both relying on generalizing examples of invalidating trans women.

I confront transphobes plenty, especially in real life, but spamming the site isn't "confronting" them - its just making the site a pain to use, and they can just block you and keep posting. Just get them banned.

And go fuck yourself for implying I'm some kind of assimilationist coward or something.
