reddit chapotraphouse meme, basically asking fascists to post dick pics rather than engaging them on their terms. Essentially a weird way to deplatform someone.

Origin on the meme: On a post about fascist attacking queer people, some T_D troll came to the post and start posting queerphobic shit, so the Chapos doxed him and found out that the troll makes gay porn on PornHub, so they started asking him to post hog. And the troll finally posted his hog.

That became a meme on reddit among the left.

ewwww - seems like a thing that would inevitably encourage cissexist 'jokes' and well, sexual harassment and rape culture?

Chapo being toxic is not new. But I was surprised that C@ also picked up the joke and that was how it spread to other subs like FC and /r/ultraleft

What happens if they do post hog and continue with their fash content simultaneusly?

no idea, i don't think that's ever happened. Usually they just get downvoted to oblivion and banned.

It happened once, I had the unfortunate privilege of clicking on the imgur link and getting a nice view of some fascist's mini dick

An aside - I think making fun of penis size is cissexist and harmful for trans men, intersex folks, people who have survived genital trauma etc. It's also harmful for cis men, because it feeds toxic masculinity and body shames folks.

Just, I think in general, making fun of genitalia and implying some genitalia are better than others is just, toxic. In a bunch of ways.

Yeah I agree. Male dominated spaces tend to get into that toxic behavior quite easily. We should really be wary of that more when we next spam a subreddit with raddle links.

It happened once on r/C@. Everyone just made fun of how ugly their pp was

honestly wtf was C@ thinking, the joke is cringe af and it opens to sexual abuse shit. Like C@ was the ground zero where the joke became popularized on reddit and Leftbook.

in the very rare cases when that actually happens, usually the response is to just continue to make fun of them in other ways

so it's kind of a gross meme, and pretty unfunny at this point. I think we should encourage people to be more creative, and less enabling of reactionary ideology, with their memes/deplatforming techniques/etc on here. The same way we encourage people to OC their own memes with coinsh.red, i think we should encourage people to OC their own references instead of bringing mediocre content from years ago on reddit lol

awful meme that was funny for roughly the first 2 months, if we're being charitable. it was certainly effective though, much more so than actually engaging in discussion with fascists.

This is because u/HumanBehaviorByBjork said that when ChapoTrapHouse makes fun of rape it is "extra funny". u/amongstclouds is not the only one who found that disturbing. Being flippant about awful shit is gross. clouds is very good about reminding us who we're talking to in other threads. It's kind of like having the old reddit enhancement suite come up and tag the person for everyone.
