Continuous revolution and internationalism are things I can support in theory, the mass movement of the proletariat and workers councils are limited, especially in today's capitalist economies.

I think his actions speak louder than his theory though....I outright hate most of what he did at the head of the Red Army, the actions against the Kronstadt rebellion and against the Free Territory of Ukraine specifically. I would have ice-picked him myself.

I saw bunch of them at every rally, they are usually the ones with the sidecap and go around forcing people to buy their $2 newspapers. Trots only thrive at liberal rallies because only liberals buy their shit, literally nobody else fall for their trap.

Haha, I bought a book from a communist publisher and they sent me a complimentary Trot newspaper. Threw it in the bin immediately. Good book though.

overall, i kind of agree on the views that lead him to favour permanent revolution, but i think his vision of it is stuck in the time period he lived - power structures, much like hierarchical power itself, lends itself to corruption over time, but his vision kind of assumed the need for a centralized, hierarchical power structure in the first place; that's where i veer off into communalism.

I don't know much about it. The Trotsky is an enjoyable movie though.

He was the first communist I ever read, so he holds a special place in my heart. I still like his ideas, even if they're completely impractical.
