I think some version of Kronstadt is pretty much inevitable when anarchists and communists work together to overthrow capitalism. Once capitalism has been destroyed, the anarchists will want to destroy the state outright, while the communists will want to smash the bourgeois state, and create a proletarian state, which will wither away as the capitalists themselves wither away. Each one is unacceptable to the other, so of course they will try to fight each other to prevent the other from having their way. This is why I don't understand the people who say "We can work out our differences after the revolution" - it's pretty obvious that a war is going to be how we "work out our differences."

Also, what did Kronstadt have to do with not wanting to destroy civilization?
