this is tricky because if I pick any world leaders to be anarchist they wouldn't have become leaders in the first place.

maybe a conqueror like attila the hun or a terrorist leader like bin laden so their attacks would have different intentions?

That's easy. Lenin. A world without Leninism might actually be an alright one.

Another option along this line, the natives that Columbus first contacted. A few fire arrows at a highly flammable ship, puff, no colonization. For a few centuries at least. Everyone on Spain would be, "we told you so" to the king and queen.

Constantine because he'd quit this whole "christian emperor" business and tell the legions to fuck off out of everyone's business, so missionaries would never get state backing, so Charlemagne would never try his own christian emperor business and Padraig and Ninian would fuck off of out of Prydain and Eire, so Penda of Mercia wouldn't have to put up with his christian vassals' shit, so his son wouldn't convert and fuck it up when he died, so the normans' jobs would be harder even four centuries onward, so England would never be formed and would never have the religious impulse to colonize everyone they met.

Fuck, this is starting to sound like those wanky alt-history threads.

Probably any de facto dictator who actually has the power to change things radically. I don't know of any for sure. The trick would be that they have to become anarchist after getting the power, I suppose.

Or just any current or recent family member. It'd be nice to have some support or precedent.

Or similarly. Lenin, he actually attempted to implement a leftist society and I feel like if it weren't for him we wouldn't have to deal with the vanguard. Marxism probably would have spread much faster had it not been mostly backed by authoritarians.
