Can we all be pirates? :)
Those definitely work for directly addressing someone, but I'm also thinking of the third-person way "bro" is used, i.e. "that person is a bro"
that person is a mate / friend, I guess. Or I'm tight with that person.
sometimes "yo" works as a replacement, but might be too different in meaning
sib works fine imo
I like 'sib' and hope as many of these words as is possible catch on.
Nobody'd know what I was saying if I said 'sib' here though. Maybe I can start!
I say 'human' sometimes. Like, Hey human! How you doing?
How you doing, human?
Doing fine thanks dear! Too much going on as usual, trying not to drown in it. Lots has been good though. You?
My ass hurts from sitting too much.
kiddo is the new comrade
I use 'dear' pretty often.
I say "mate" occasionally even tho im american bc im a filthy hipster
Sameee. It's the only good gender-neutral one, jajaja.
I'm sure you rock it well enough to sound good =w=
I've had someone say that I was one of the only USAmericans they know who can say mate without sounding like an asshole. It touched my heart lol
