Why? IMO it's better the rich spend their money on an electric car than a polluting, climate-killing, gas-guzzling fossil-fuel car.

Because their production / consumption is the reason we're all fucked in the first place. Them driving around in a luxury electric car to score brownie points while being collectively responsible for this entire mass extinction event is pretty farcical.

The 1% literally are the climate killers.

And those batteries aren't exactly 'green' anyway. They're created by exploiting the shit out of the global south and its population and polluting the shit out of the land. Same goes for any 'green' energy that fills the batteries:

Sounds like you are trying to justify fossil fuel usage. Green energy, solar, EVs, wind, etc are far better option for the planet by all metrics. It does seem the oil company's shills are been effective at suggesting otherwise. Do you suggest some alternative as it is easy to just pick apart with out offering better suggestions.
