Sorry about that. I'm the death-positive earthy birthy chick, so what did you expect? I love the whole of life and have every intention of feeding a tree when my brains literally liquify and pour out of my mouth.

The tree could grow up if you let it. Your kids could climb on its branches. Your grandkids could eat its fruit. Your great-grandkids could exist and have their chance to sing in the sunshine and cry in the dark and live and love and try and die.

But I don't want to be a vampire or a zombie because I'm tired. I didn't believe my grandfolks and older friends when they told me they were tired so I don't expect you to believe me either.

But in the short time I have been here, I have grown to love this community and "my people" way too much to curse you with immortality. Some of us may survive the next 30 years or so but most of us won't.

Neither will my tomato plants or that butterfly over there, but that doesn't mean I can't love them today.
