The USSR wasn't communist, it was state capitalist which is an even more hierarchical and unequal form of capitalism than 'free market' capitalism.

what would you call an economic system predicated on wage-labour, generalised commodity production, and capital?

none of that changes just because most industries and sectors are state-owned or otherwise state-controlled.

... which they patently didn't in the ussr, so what's your point?

i mean you could make the argument i suppose that the kolkhozy were legally cooperatively owned as opposed to the state-owned sovkhozy, but in practice kolkhozy were so tightly controlled that there was functionally little difference between the two in their managerial structures

It's funny how your argument for communism always comes down to <<that wasn't REAL communism>> lol

If there was never real communism then you're just a book club.

well i'm not a communist so don't look at me

it's just kind of a plain fact of political economy that capital prevailed under the ussr /shrug

“It's funny how your argument for Communism always comes down to facts coming from even a basic understanding of Communism lol”

If there was never real communism then you're just a book club.

So any idea that hasn't been put into long and tangible practice is bullocks to you? You should think more often, friend
