I've had multiple businesses in my 40 years of existence. First one was a record label when I was 16-18, back when people paid for music. The bands were employees, I had no staff. I paid the bands based on what we all brought in. New bands were only added based on consensus. Most of the bands disbanded after a couple years. So I sold it divvied up the money and was able to buy my mother a cheap house.

At 22 I lived in a tent purposefully in TN. Needed money, borrowed a truck, offered to haul away peoples trash in the area, completely rural area without trash pickup. Three months it was 6 employees to make 3 teams of 2. Also more of a coop model, also before I knew what that even meant. After 2 years most of us wanted to move, the others ready to just move on, we sold it to a nearby municipality and I was able to buy a better home for my disabled mother.

Now I run a farm that's failing and love it. 2 employees. Me and my business partner are the only employees.

So... Fuck anybody who doesn't know what goes into running a business. I work far more hours than a lot of other people to simply not be enslaved by a boss other than those that I choose to work with. But most of all fuck capitalism.
