I mean, I frequent a website dedicated to an economic/political theory...so yes. Very much so.
'Nerd' is merely a social construct used to enforce a hierarchical social system.
But yeah, I'm a big ol' nerd if 25+ years of study of everything from music theory to epigenetics to alternative forms of economy counts?
What's a nerd?
A nerd is a person seen as overly intellectual, obsessive, or lacking social skills (introvert). Such a person may spend inordinate amounts of time on unpopular, little known, or non-mainstream activities, which are generally either highly technical, abstract, or relating to topics of fiction or fantasy, to the exclusion of more mainstream activities.
If I'm not, I sure look the part.
… I act it, too…
Aren't we all nerds in the 2010s?
I believe so.
Somewhat. My obsessions end up placing me in a role of educator which I find tedious and ultimately distracting from my projects. I have yet to find a way to turn someone's interest in me and what I'm doing into ambition to help me. When I figure that out I'll let you know.
i'm a geek wannabe
