Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984)

  • The world is controlled by a single mega corporation. Protagonist has a job like everyone else, wears the same uniform like everybody else and the state keeps an eye on everyone at all times. They call it the "Big Brother". Also, nobody is allowed to have a love partner, no sex, no nothing (extreme discipline). He eventually falls in love with a woman and decides to tear that dystopia apart.

Equilibrium

  • The world has eliminated emotions through a medication that everyone is obligated to take, believing that feelings are the cause of war and misery. One member of the clergy designed to fight what they call "sense offenders" starts to have feelings, and he slowly begins to approach a group that he always helped murder, The Resistance.

Children of Men

  • The human race has been infertile for 18 years. The people live its final century. The British government has banned refugees and intensified security. A pregnant African-descendant refugee is found by the direct action group "Fishes". They try to get her to the Human Project with the help of Theodore (protagonist), while avoiding that she falls into the government's hands.
