A common one in the egoist anarchist community is the word "spook". There are apparently certain places in the southern US where spook was used as racist term a century or so ago. So sometimes when people from those areas encounter an egoist, they think they're being racist or offensive when the egoist concept of "spook" has nothing to do with that.

I grew up in rural America and it's the only way I heard the word used when I was a young child. I was closer to adulthood before I knew there was an offensive use for it.

another one is the "slave cylinder" and the "master cylinder"... that's just what they are called, though :(

Seems alright to me, though I'd still reflexively flinch, jajaja.

Yeah it's fine by me. I think there are some bigger fish to fry than your local mechanic shop.

Would rather he not, but the reality of the situation is that the word isn't being used maliciously and the mechanic may not even know that "tranny" is also a slur for something else that they aren't even thinking about. It's like calling a cig a fag, I guess, or the food made from offal called "faggot". A slightly different example where the word in question isn't offensive to a specific group but rather generally offensive is calling a rooster a cock or a donkey an ass.
