Hey I was in the customer service department next to you. It was equally awful, but in a slightly different way. Instead of demoralizing yourself to demoralize people by trying to sell them fake crap, you were getting demoralized by people who got demoralized by fake crap sold to them. Sometimes demoralizing them back my selling them more crap. But this just in: those really responsible were the same business people we knew sitting in the posh offices.

I don't think I ever saw the customer service guys as we had two boiler rooms for two different product categories in the same office. I bet it was at an entirely different office if at all. Most of the regretting customers would just return it via mail and sometimes get a refund. Our bosses would keep statistics on percentages of sales that were returned. They wouldn't dock our pay or anything like that, but the return % would be taken into account in annual employee reviews which I guess would dictate whether you got a promotion or not. I didn't stick around long enough to find out anyway.
