Sorry if I'm ignorant but are men really dominant and privileged?

who do you think rules the world?

No one rules the world. The world political power is divided among hundreds of states.

Who decided that states are meaningful concepts?
SnowCode wrote
They are people running the world, mostly the people who own the big companies and are at the top of governments as they are the ones who do the decisions for everyone else. Men represents ~87% of the top 0.1% income in the world and 71% of the top 10%.
In terms of political decisions: only 25% of all the national parliamentarians are women and just 26 women serving as head of state or government in 24 countries.

How many states are headed by women? How many nuclear capable states are headed by women?

Hmm, sounds like intersectionality...

Look at statistics, men almost always own more property, are in more positions of power, get more money, etc. And this is not even taking into account the time women spend on unpaid work like taking care of children and the house which is also disproportional. There are many more contexts in which men are more privileged than women, but I'm not going to list them all.
So yes, men are dominant and privileged in this society.
