CGT is the "real" union, they take money from govt and participate in elections in the workplace, anarchists mind you.

CNT and CNT-AIT there isn't much difference between the two imo, they both are "unions" and do their works around the workplace. The Split over the AIT thing was a squabble over money and power, international fees due to AIT, some corruption claims, a whole power trip. No different from political parties.

So, they don't have government recognized unions? What do they do then? How do they bargain? Isn't it considered racketeering etc, to do an autonomous union? I am not sure the Spanish laws.

For what I know you can have a CNT delegate but they can't be in the worker's committee, so they are limited for what things they can do or not. They offer free consultation from the union lawyers, and invest great time in demonstrations too.

I don't think they fall into racketeering, not sure about the laws either, at the end they are the historical heirs of the mythical CNT-FAI so that's maybe why they are allowed to be independent. They engage in picketing, strikes, same way the other unions too, they are more prone to "direct action" but they rely on the people outside the workspace to strengthen the fight.

Ps:The only thing the CNT do today is exists. They are the "official" anarchists sanctioned by the history, and they do a lot to promote Anarchism outside the workplace too.
