Climate change has increased at such a rapid rate in the last few years, that people all over the world can now clearly see that their region won't be able to support human life in the near future. It's no longer speculation.

Anything that tells you humans will go extinct in x amount of time for x reason is not very trustworthy, imo. Short of a large asteroid strike, I don't think anything would kill humanity or its various institutions. We're fucking tough, and adaptable.
