I enjoy Bloody Mary occasionally, as, probably, one of most affordable and easy to made cocktails. It's basically tomato juice + vodka + any spices you can find.

The cheapest whiskey + cola + a slice of lemon or orange is also one of my cocktails of choice.

As for a basic alcohol, I prefer a strong beer. 8+% of alcohol.

Edit: also, the strike from my past - the cheapest port wine + an energetic drink. Oh, nostalgia! Oh, youth!

Do you know about the caesar? Its a little stronger flavour wise, as well as a little more flexable with garnashes....unfortunately most bars dont do it right... so ihs good to know how to make a good one at home. Not enough worcstershire sauce, hot sauce etc
