That depends on what games appeal to you. Are you playing for the story? Do you want a game you can play with your friend (multiplayer / party game)? Do you like games you can play for 10 minutes and put down, or games you play for hours?

You're a fan of Spider-Man, so maybe you'd like Marvel's Spider-Man? It is widely considered the best superhero game ever made, along with the Batman Arkham games which are a great deal because you get all 3 games for the price of 1 on PS4.

The most fun I had on my PS4 is Grand Theft Auto V, but it's not exactly the wokest game. Red Dead Redemption 2 lets you murder everyone at a KKK rally, but it's not as fun as GTA because there are permanent consequences to everything you do - if you don't do things exactly right at the KKK rally, you don't get another chance. Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is my pick for multiplayer because I grew up in arcades. Another popular multiplayer game is Rocket League.

The most popular story-based games are The Last of Us, The Witcher 3 and Horizon: Zero Dawn. But it takes weeks-months to play through games like that, and I'd rather play games that don't require that kind of a time investment.

Mario Kart is on nintendo switch, not playstation. It's good for multiplayer for sure.

The closest thing to mario kart on ps4 is either rocket league or Team Sonic Racing

watch videos on youtube to see if you'd enjoy them

few people are buying a ps4 right now because the ps5 is coming out in a few months. most people are buying nintendo switch. but the good thing about ps4 is the games are dirt cheap because it's in its last few months of life.

There's a cooperative game coming out by September, Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles. It's a remake of a Gamecube game I played a lot. It's very engaging and blast to play with friends.

Just Dance is a fantastic party game, you (and friends) dance to the rhythm of popular and catchy songs while competing on who shakes it up best. Great for a bit of cardio too. It's a yearly franchise, with the most significant change is which songs they cover. So you can pick almost any and have fun. Avoid the kids and themed versions though.

Overcook! and its sequel. I haven't played it yet, but I've heard many good things about it. It's easy to pick up, and someone challenging. Playing as a team is very important.

The Lego games are great for a quick and mindless fun. They're easy, like very easy with fun bits here and there. Great to play while drinking.

For singleplayer:

Persona 5 is a staple on PS4. You're a teenager that has to (litetally) steal the hearts of influential members of society to produce a positive change on society, while battling demons and managing your social life. It's a turn base game with a great and engaging story.

Along these lines, Guacamelee! A platformer with wrestling moves, great humor, tons of memes and references, the game is all-around fun and greatly balance between easy and challenging. I completed the Gold and Super Ultra Turbo Championship edition; haven't played G!2 though, but will some day.

Wait, Avengers Alliance? From playdom? I loved that game. It's being remade by fans; it's on its 2nd beta, you can find it on the description here if you're interested.

There's an anti-capitalist critique to be made about the practice of pouring money and time into a video game (which is essentially just data; the closest thing to an unlimited resource there is) only to make that game literally unplayable in the future; the closest thing I could find was a video made by the guy who made Freeman's Mind.
