Joey is always looking for opportunities to be famous. He's not committed to any ideology, and will sell out/fuck over his own people to get what he wants. Total sycophant, and even right wingers realize this now. That's why he goes so far out of his own area to glory-grab... completely pathetic, best representative of the american right wing that the US could possibly export lol

maybe if the HK protesters didn't support a return to colonialism then these type of people wouldn't come

maybe if shameless bootlickers like you didn't group scores of people together as one in order to villainize them for daring to dissent against a capitalist imperialist state, socialism would actually stand a chance

fucking tankie

there is a point to be made about hk protestors using the british occupation flag though...

You're doing it too. A couple of photos of a couple of protesters waving that flag doesn't mean all the protestors are waving those flags. Tankies keep pulling those photos out to condemn the HK protestors and it's fucked up. There are a shitload of people protesting with different motivations. Stop pretending they're all yearning for a return to UK rule, it's fucking malicious.

If you keep doing that then I'll just take a photo of me waving an ancom flag while strangling a dog and then I'll tell everyone ancoms are dog stranglers.

of course not, but there is a reactionary movement within the independent hong kong movement (just like the yellow vests in france) and I wouldn't ignore it.

Yeah, for sure. It's a complicated situation, but in many ways there are global echoes at work here.

Being stuck between right-wing and extreme-right-wing is a common situation for radicals. We're opposing forces which made their gains through not only domination of the mode of production, but which invented the idea of propaganda itself. #edwardBernays

i stand in solidarity with the Hong Kong people who want to see their city free and liberated as possible, not ones who desire to sell it out to one country or another. Although I am a world away, I have some faith that there are many in Hong Kong who feel similarly, although reactionary tendencies will always worm their way in. However, I refuse to let reactionaries of either CCP or neo-monarchist agendas hijack the narrative and erase all the people who don't fall in line with either of those ridiculous and fading empires.

They are not a tankie. They only pointed out that there are some colonialists with british hong kong flags in the crowd.

that's not what they did. they didn't say 'some' protesters were waving those flags. they said "the HK Protesters support a return to colonialism"

straight up tankie propaganda.
