yo, this is my post. thanks for the support on here. dealing with those settlers is exhausting shit — when i had the one dude accuse me of not really being Inuit and mocking me for my age i just said fuck it. i’ve got autism and my brain only lets me go so far with that shit. i probably could’ve put up some better arguments against them but ultimately it was a little damn difficult when every time i refreshed my front page i had 2 new comments calling me an ableist forest TERF. calling it quits with that shit, keeping the post up, and hoping some of those assholes realize how white they’re being.

Anarcho-settlers have long plagued anarchist forums. We have a no tolerance policy here that's enacted by me trolling them until they leave.

Could you describe in short, what you mean by "Anarcho-settlers"? This term is new to me. Basically "Anarcho-colonists"?

Someone that ignores that people in the global south suffer to create products for them to consume and dream of an "anarchist" society where they'll continue to have all the luxuries they have now only it'll somehow be "egalitarian". When you press them on it, they just answer with some utter nonsense that amounts to "they'll want to keep mining and manufacturing our toys because anarcho-communism is good", or "we'll let them keep some of the toys after they make them for us. Equality!".

It's a lot of people who genuinely don't think about how manufactured and processed so much of their lives are. If indigenous people and people who preferred not to be in the labor system could do so without harm coming to them from the dominate class (settlers), the settlers would lose a lot of the basic priviledges they don't even know they have because someone or something else suffers.

It's wild that they don't see that, yet can spout off about all forms of other "power" theories.

Some people will use anything in an argument, even if it makes very little sense outside of the bubble they're occupying at the moment.

Fun fact: Fredy Perlman had (and ultimately died from) a congenital heart condition. In fact, his experience with the medical establishment was a big part of what inspired his anticiv thought in the first place. That's anecdotal, obviously, but I think it's kind of telling about the whole "anticiv is inherently ableist" line of thinking

I really liked this exchange

Shhhhhh, everyone knows primitivism is about murdering anyone who knows how to read, not scaling productive forces to meet human needs! If that were the case, we'd have to engage with critiques instead of cracking jokes about Fight Club, and who the hell has time for that?

Alright, how do you solve the lack of medicine then?

Produce medicine.

Reminds me of this quote from Armed Joy

The substitution of the work ethic with the aesthetic of joy would not mean an end to life as so many worried comrades would have it. To the question: ‘What will we eat?’ one could quite simply reply: ‘What we produce.’

is the post still up on reddit?

Thanks, I avoid visiting reddit to stop giving them ad money, but I was also curious if the archive link was to prevent reddit getting money or if it was removed from reddit

it's because mods will remove the racist comments once I bring attention to them

A few surprisingly good replies in there

Lol @ the edit:

edit: congrats! you have all managed to do the exact thing i literally just pointed out to be colonizer behavior! from dogpiling me and still calling me a TERF who wants to take away HRT to accusing me of being someone who just took an ancestry.com test — you’ve proved how much of a settler you are! are you happy? i’m done responding. no anprim owes you shit in that realm.

"Anarchists" are so reactionary.

I posted my indigenous anarchy piece thinking they'd be more open to it after that post from an indigenous anarchist, but nope:

Cool, I'm on board with gender abolition. I'm not on board with using force of arms to deprive trans people of hormones.

Primitivism means going to trans people's houses and taking their hormones at gunpoint
