Sadly, this probably won’t inspire very many people. I mean, who remembers the dude that lit himself on fire to protest climate change? Not many.

I disagree. Self-immolation is a rather common action; and more importantly isn't a call for action. Its ignored because its just suicide, not an action against, say, an oil well. He took concrete action against fascism, and calls for more action.

Who’s she? You mean Will? Also, I understand how it’s different from self-immolation, but in reality the results will not be much different. The media will ignore as much of his message as they can and obscure what they can’t ignore, specifically to ensure that he doesn’t become a martyr.

I suppose you’re right about that, but I think that if a radical is not already acting they likely won’t act at all. The radicals I know are either protesting or too busy with jobs to do anything.

Just about the correct direction for anti-capitalism in general. I don’t know what to believe exactly, I don’t really have an overarching worldview beyond some very loose conception of libertarian marxism.

And organizing doesn’t really help at all with understandig when the only people doing anything around me are Trots or the DSA.

It's really disheartening that these people on Reddit, instead of seeing someone who risked their life in order to draw attention and energy and inspiration to a moral cause of opposing ethnic cleansing by engaging in property destruction at a concentration camp, instead see someone who "endangered lives by engaging in individual violence". They didn't attack or hurt anyone, except themselves.

While I am depressed by their decision to end their own life, and I disagree with the specific tactics' efficacy, I honor them as a fucking hero. Because that's what they are, we live in a context where there isn't a better option than building your own AR and preparing up some molotovs and going for it all on your own. And that's something I'd like to change in my lifetime, but I understand and respect their decision in the context he was in.

I mean, I just call myself an anarchist. I have post-leftist leans, but in the end - if you're there to shoot pigs and build mutual aid networks and/or other dual power structures, I'm happy. Ideology's a distraction from action.
