I've spent the last few weeks sick, working in the office while sick. An HR representative reached out to my boss and suggested I "work from home." My boss hates when people work from home because she can't get a hold of them. I straight responded to her that the company did not pay me enough to have a living space large enough to have a desk at home. I could not work from home on the salary I am paid. If they want me to work while sick, they'll have to risk getting sick, too. Or pay me enough to have a place to live that isn't so tiny I can barely fit beds into it for my family. I literally have room only for our beds, a dining table, a sofa and a bean bag. None of us have dressers, even.

Produce like a Westerner but live like a machine seems to be the message.

Is that where you work? If so...is at as full of libertarians as it seems?

Yes and yes. But not any good type of libertarian - it's all people who believe in the capitalist system. A bunch of ancaps who think the government just gets in the way.
